![]() I saw this picture in the recent blog of Seth Godin (highly recommended by the way) and it made me think about education and learning and the way we structure and design learnscapes (learning environments) and learning programs.
What we do a lot in schools and educational institutions is the 2-circle-approach. We show students how to draw 2 circles - and expect them to be able to draw the whole picture = we give them some cognitive "stuff", facts & evidence & data & information, and expect them to function well in life. Life is a complex thing, with lots of fine lines, twists and turns, shadows & light patches, different tones & shades. Only if we have a connection to "the whole", an intuitive link, we will be able to lead a balanced life. We cannot grasp the whole picture with our mind! We need to get a feeling of it, see it within, tune in on a deeper level in order to be able to draw details step by step. One starts with the eyes, another with the claws, another with the beak... Billions of different options! To connect to the one: the "real life owl".

Hi I am a physicist and I have recently had some sort of a drive to find out REALLY who we are outside of the norm. How would I take steps towards tapping into my higher consciousness? ( me and maybe 1 extra person)
